Analog Typography process goes. Poster on the street. Express yourself! <\/span>Book printing, manual typesetting, linocut and woodcut.<\/span><\/h3>\n

The aim of the course is to provide an insight into basic steps of book printing and relief printing. The output of the course will be a collection of posters created by all course participants. Each participant will receive a hand printed poster. We will explore the possibilities of working in the field of thinking about the concept of printed matter, as well as in the implementation of the poster. We will mainly focus on manual typesetting, working with printing plate and register. We will go through printing preparation, printing process to the final register. We will work in the graphic workshops at the faculty. The poster presentation will be pasted to public space in \u00dast\u00ed nad Labem. The practical lessons will be accompanied with regular group discussions on the unfinished project. The course will also be accompanied by a lecture about history and current types of author\u2019s book printing. The participants should bring work clothes and drawing tools. All other tools will be provided by the faculty. <\/span><\/p>\n
