The Faculty of Art and Design at Jan Evangelista Purkyn\u011b University in \u00dast\u00ed nad Labem invites you to the exhibition of bachelor's and master's theses by its students.<\/p>\n

The opening of the exhibitions will take place on Wednesday 24 May 2023, at 6:00 PM at House of Culture (D\u016fm kultury) in \u00dast\u00ed nad Labem.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The regular exhibition of graduate works will be held in two locations this time. Bachelor's theses will be displayed in the premises of the Faculty of Art and Design, while the master's theses can be viewed at the House of Culture.<\/strong> In this building from the 1960s, students from 16 studios<\/strong> at the Faculty of Art and Design<\/strong> will exhibit their works and interventions in various spaces, including the cloakroom, underground bunker, boxes, adjacent galleries, and the balcony of the main hall.<\/p>\n

For the Faculty of Art and Design, the relationship with the city itself, of which the school is a natural part, is important. This fact is reflected in the visual style of the exhibitions, inspired by city and institutional wayfinding systems, to establish a connection between the faculty and the city center, the exterior and the interior, what we perceive outside and experience inside. The motif of arrows and their variations serves as a reminder of the significant place and symbolizes connection or showing the way, which may be winding but always leads somewhere. This wayfinding system not only connects exhibition spaces but also connects the residents and visitors of \u00dast\u00ed nad Labem with the exhibiting students.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>
