phonon~ crew and FUD UJEP cordially invites you to join our broadcasting sound point, contributing to the program of annual REVEIL sound event. This is an international event dedicated to listening, acoustic ecology and the question of the diversity of birds on Earth. The event has been held globally since 2014, all across the world. Over the course of 24 hours, as the dawn progresses around the globe, streaming points join in to convey through sound the start of the day accompanied by spring birdsong.

The basic participation in this event consists of organizing a streaming point that is activated during dawn, the time when most birds are most active in the spring season. For the time zone we are in this year, that will be May 1st, 5:00 to 5:40. We have decided to expand this year’s participation based on the establishment of a streaming point by organizing a sound camp that will include a movie projection, a participatory listening walk and collective or individual improvisation with field recordings.
