Glass Studio / GLASS KIDS ON THE BLOCK

The Glass Studio of the Faculty of Art and Design at Jan Evangelista Purkyně University in Ústí nad Labem presented an exhibition titled “Glass Kids on the Block” at this year’s Designblock. The exhibition project brought new faces to the stage and showcased their perspective on the material they love, study and shape.

The group exhibition showcased a set of projects by students for whom glass is a key material. They anchor their messages in its aesthetically powerful form. The exhibited projects explored the nature of conditions and limitations posed by the material, as well as by the society and the present era. They explore the nature of the conditions on their own creation. They communicate through the material. They engage. They speak through glass.
