The Faculty of Art and Design at Jan Evangelista Purkyně University in Ústí nad Labem announces the faculty round of the Student Grant Competition (SGS) for doctoral students in the Visual Communication study programme for the year 2024. 

Applicants for one-year, two-year, and three-year grants can be both doctoral students and their supervisors. Additional doctoral students, master’s programme students, or other educators may be invited to join the project teams. 

The SGS Committee will give preference to the project proposals whose implementation teams will ensure a significant output in the fields of design, art, curatorial activities (applicable in the Register of Information on Results – RIV). Simultaneously, these proposals should also include relevant research output (publication, article in a professional journal with RIV potential). At the provided link, you will find Rector’s Directive No. 5/2018, which precisely outlines the rules of the SGS. We would like to remind you that when creating the project budget, the principal investigator must adhere to the basic condition that more than 75 % of all personal costs are directed towards students in the form of scholarships. Project applications for the year 2024 must be submitted in final form twice, in printed and signed version to the hands of Ing. Markéta Chalupová, MSc (door no. 325), and simultaneously electronically to the address marketa.chalupova@ujep.cz, by the deadline of 17 January 2024. We recommend consulting the content aspect of the planned project with Dean Prof. Mgr. Zdena Kolečková Ph.D. in advance, and handling the application administration with Ing. Zuzana Voborníková.
