The Eugeniusz Geppert Academy of Art and Design (Wroclaw, Poland) announces an open call for a symposium for PhD students from art universities, which will run from 16 to 20 of May 2022. During the 5-days meeting, entitled Research Methods in Visual Arts, aims to share the experience of using research methods applied to an artist’s work.
Faculty of Art and Design at J. E. Purkyně University in Ústí nad Labem announces a faculty round of Student Grant Competition (SGC) for students of the doctoral study program Visual Communication for the year 2022. The recipients of one-year, two-year or three-year grants can be both, the students of doctoral study program and their lecturers – supervisors. Other doctoral students, students of master’s programs or other lecturers can be invited to participate in the project team.
The SGS Committee will give preference to those project applications whose project teams will ensure a significant output in the field of design, art or curatorial activities (applicable in the Register of Art Output) and at the same time will include a relevant output in the field of research (publication, article in professional journal with the potential of Register of Information on Results).
The Rector’s directive no. 5/2018 is published under the link, where the rules of SGS are specified. We remind that when creating the budget, the recipient must comply with the basic condition that more than 75 % of all personal costs go to students in the form of grants.
The final form of project applications for the year 2022 must be handed in twice in printed form to Mrs Zita Šauerová at the dean’s office of the faculty, door no. 232, and in online form to zita.sauerova@ujep.cz, by 17 January 2022. The grant project application.
We recommend to consult the contain of the planned project with the Vice-Dean Mrs Zdena Kolečková and the administration requirements with the secretary Mrs Zita Šauerová in advance.
On 19 November 2021, between 8 am and 6 pm, the building of the Faculty of Art and Design UJEP in Ústí nad Labem will be completely closed due to water outage.

Faculty of Art and Design at JEPU in Ústí nad Labem in collaboration with The Soundscape Research Studio, Institute of Cultural Studies, University Wroclaw, Constantine the Philosopher University in Nitra and Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design Budapest invite you to participate in the international conference, which will focus on current matters in acoustic ecology perceived from the perspective both of the arts, and of the social and natural sciences.
