The independent site-specific Galerie tamtamtam based in Ústí nad Labem announces an open call for individuals or groups that would like to present their own work in this student gallery for spring 2025.

FUD Open Day / November 6, 2024

The Faculty of Art and Design will once again be holding an Open Day this autumn. During this event, visitors will have the chance to explore FUD’s studios, receive feedback on portfolios, join a guided tour at the House of Art in Ústí nad Labem, visit the workshops in the building’s basement, purchase FUD Edition books at a discount, and, importantly, learn about the application process and what studying at our faculty entails. Come and soak up the creative atmosphere of FUD!

Čelem k umění #3 / Franziska Windolf / English friendly

You are cordially invited to Face to Art #3 this time with interdisciplinary artist Franziska Windolf. In her talk, the author will focus on how the performative and poetic qualities of sculpture and other media can support meaningful interactions with the public, for example in public space. The lecture will be held in English.

HERE, THE CONSIDERED LINE EXHIBITION IN INTERFACE IN IRELAND

We would like to invite you to the international exhibition Here, The Considered Line, opening on 15th September at the Interface Gallery in Recess, Ireland, with the participation of FUD UJEP assistant professors Lenka Sýkorová and Jiří Kovanda and PhD researcher Darja Lukjanenko. The exhibition is part of Clifden Arts Festival 2024. The exhibition Here, the Considered Line combines work by artists from the Altán Klamovka gallery platform in Prague and artists from Interface. It brings a dialogue between artists from Central Eastern Europe and Ireland inspired by a view of drawing, which is demonstrated as a fragile but powerfully expressive medium. Simultaneously, the exhibition is dedicated to a pause that leads to a respect for nature and an exploration of the local history of place.

WEEKEND WORKSHOP of the International Porcelain Symposium K.I.T.

The symposium offers lectures by experts and practical demonstrations by masters of the craft in unforgettable 3 days full of inspiration and talks about ceramics! Don´t miss out the Weekend Workshop, which will take place on 26-28 July 2024. Entrance is free and registration is not required.

The Faculty of Art and Design 2024 bachelor and diploma thesis exhibition is here! We cordially invite you to the opening of the exhibition, which will take place on 22th May at the faculty and of course the exhibition itself, which this year will be held at FUD UJEP and the House of Art Ústí nad Labem.
