Petra Widžová (*1991) is a graduate of the Faculty of Humanities at Charles University and the Curatorial Studies program at the Faculty of Art and Design in Ústí nad Labem. She focuses primarily on cultural management and works as an independent curator of contemporary visual art. Her practice explores new forms of mediating contemporary art, the theme of public space, and art projects with social impact.

In 2023, she realized the curatorial project The Logic of Growth at MUD Benešov, which addressed degrowth ideas in contemporary art. She followed up with the group exhibition Good Job at Hraničář Gallery in Ústí nad Labem, which reflected on the issue of labour.

She is the co-founder and curator of the Artmat project, which focuses on presenting young contemporary artists in public space. Since 2021, she has been developing international collaborations within this project in cooperation with the Czech Centres.

She also co-founded the Vitríny Frýdlantská gallery and the Open Studios Prague festival. She is currently enrolled in the doctoral programme at the Faculty of Art and Design at Jan Evangelista Purkyně University in Ústí nad Labem, where her research focuses on the topic of artistic estates.
