In Their Eyes…

The publication as well as the eponymous international exhibition focus on presenting the artistic attitudes that have been envolving in the specific environment of three Central European regions and the ethnically mixed communities of their inhabitans, which lie on the boundary lines between different linguistic, cultural, and geoppolitical influences. 

On this level, the works of the ten Czech, Croation, and Italian artists  (Miroslav Hašek, Zdena Kolečková, Richard Loskot, Michaela Thelenová,  Nemanja Cvijanovic,  Igor Eškenija, Slaven Tolj,  Stefano Cagol, Hannes Egger, Michael Fliri) represented in the exhibition interpret specific stories – sometimes from a distance, but always fatally influenced by the course of „major historical  events“.

Anglické vydání publikace ke stejnojmenné mezinárodní výstavě zaměřené na prezentaci uměleckých postojů ve specifickém prostředí tří středoevropských regionů s etnicky smíšenými komunitami,  ležících na hranicích mezi různými jazykovými, kulturními  oblastmi a geopolitickými vlivy. Práce deseti českých, chorvatských a italských umělců (Miroslav Hašek, Zdena Kolečková, Richard Loskot, Michaela Thelenová, Nemanja Cvijanovic, Igor Eškenija, Slaven Tolj, Stefano Cagol, Hannes Egger, Michael Fliri)  interpretují jednotlivé příběhy, které  – někdy jen vzdáleně, ale vždy fatálně – byly ovlivněné průběhem „velkých historických událostí“.
