Od roku 2017 rozvíjí nový projekt s názvem Svět, ve kterém žijeme, ve kterém se snaží o propojení autorského plakátu a informační grafiky. Tu v jeho podání je nutné chápat jako spojení informací z různých sociálních výzkumů s kultivovaným grafickým designem. Tímto způsobem se Eduardo snaží rozvíjet spolupráci mezi designéry a specialisty z přírodovědeckých a humanitních odvětví. Smyslem je netradiční cestou upozornit na celospolečenské problémy, které nás všechny spojují a uvést výsledné plakáty v ideální případě na ulici, aby oslovili co nejširší společnost. Celý mezinárodní projekt byl vyhlášen jako soutěž ve dvou kategoriích: profesionálů a studentů grafického designu se zacílením na Evropu, Asii a Ameriku. Akce probíhá na spřátelených vysokých uměleckých školách. Workshopy již proběhly na FAD UNAM v Mexiku a v České republice na FUD UJEP v Ústí nad Labem a FDULS ZČU v Plzni.
Aktuální výstava v Altánu Klamovka je výběrem kolekce, která vznikla v Mexiku. Prezentuje plakáty dvou profesionálů a šesti studentů z FAD UNAM z Mexico City (www.fad.unam.mx). Témata vystavených plakátů poukazují na širokou škálu problémů od sexuálního násilí, privatizaci vody, znečištění oceánů až po gradování násilí a agrese ve společnosti. Svým uvedením v České republice nás také seznamují se současným mexickým designem.

Eduardo Barrera Arambarri is a Mexican graphic designer who currently lives in the Czech Republic and studies at the Faculty of Art and Design of Jan Evangelista Purkyně in Ústí nad Labem. He studied graphic design at the National School of Plastic Arts UNAM in Mexico. He has been running his own studio, designing posters for cultural events and corporate identity, since 2001. He exhibits his artworks all around the world and was awarded at several international graphic design exhibitions, receiving the bronze medal at the International Biennale in Mexico, the bronze medal at the International Triennale in Kharkov, Ukraine, and Grand Prix for the publication Ergo Sum (designed together with Erik Beltran) at the International Biennale in Brno.
Since 2017, he has been working on a new project called The World We Live In that combines original posters and information graphics that he presents as a combination of information from different social surveys and refined graphic design. Eduardo thus strives to promote cooperation between designers and specialists from the fields of natural science and humanities. He points out societal problems that concern all of us in an unconventional way and would like to exhibit the final posters on the street to reach as many people as possible. The entire international project was announced as a competition in two categories: graphic design professionals and graphic design students in Europe, Asia and America. The project takes place in associated art universities. The Faculty of Arts and Design of UNAM in Mexico, the Faculty of Art and Design of Jan Evangelista Purkyně in Ústí nad Labem and the Ladislav Sutnar Faculty of Design and Art of the University of West Bohemia in Pilsen have already organized several workshops.
The current exhibition in the Altán Klamovka Gallery is a selection from the collection created in Mexico. It presents posters of two professional artists and six students from the Faculty of Arts and Design of UNAM in Mexico City (www.fad.unam.mx). The themes of the exhibited posters tackle many different problems, such as sexual violence, water privatization, ocean pollution and ever-increasing violence and aggression in society. The exhibition in the Czech Republic also allows us to become acquainted with contemporary Mexican design.

Challenge
The poster+infographics international call for entries “The world we want to live in” aims at elevating the quality of graphic content in public spaces through the collaboration of designers and specialists on science and humanities. The designers will “translate” research papers and hard data into two-sided posters /author poster and infographic/ that can be later extended for second phase of project into educational short video documents. Emphasis on propagating simple explanations and proven solutions for ecological, economic, social and political worldwide problems is the main difference of this call for entries from others.
Workshops will be held in different faculties in Europe, Asia and America, in collaboration with outstanding guest teachers. Four workshops have already taken place in Puebla, Mexico Ústí nad Labem and Pilsen.
Professionals and students are invited to participate in the open call for entries, regardless if they are able to teach or attend the workshops.
The resulting selected works will be exhibited in public spaces, for they are created not for designers, not for scientists, but for the people.
