About seminar and lecturer:
Ibrahim Busolo Namunaba (PhD) is a trained archaeologist. He worked with the National Museums of Kenya as researcher and manager of archaeological resources before moving to Pwani University in Kilifi (Kenya) where he teaches Historical Archaeology. His research interests include early human settlements, urbanism, ancient economies, subsistence and cultural heritage management. The title of the seminar is “Human Migrations in Antiquity and the lessons for the present and the future”. In this presentation he wishes to explore the nature of human migrations in the ancient times between 2000BC through the Middle Ages to the emergency of the Modern State system. He will examine the migration dynamics in the 20th/ 21st century CE and what this means for Man as an itinerant creature.

Dr. Busolo je členem výzkumného týmu v projektu TICASS, který se věnuje vizuální komunikaci a podporuje rozvoj akademických a výzkumných pracovníku v jejich oboru. (www.ticass.eu)
